The "Inner Styx" is a cosy double en-suite room tucked away in the lofts of our grade 2 listed Coach House with sky light windows. The chandelier overlooks the king size bed, desk, comfy chairs and television.
Having spent years in hotel rooms we have always craved a few more facilities so we have installed a few facilities with full size fridge to enhance your stay. There is plenty of space to store a pack lunch and chill beer or wine. As we are a listed building, we have some unusual features: one of which are the windows in this room. They are so high we have provided a pole to open and close windows and fitted shutters.
The room is an ideal base for short breaks for two people and you will have access to the seating area in the entrance hallway which is a great spot to enjoy a book. If the sun comes out you may also want to relax on the decking in the rear yard or garden. However, The Inner Styx can also be booked as an accompaniment to either the apartment or studio if you are looking for extra space.
Checking In
Check-in is from 16.00 hours. However, we have installed self check-in facilities to all the apartments and rooms. This provides you with the flexibility to arrive at a time to suit you throughout the evening. Free parking can be arranged earlier by arrangement if needed but do contact us first. We also offer an early check in, from 2.30pm, for a small charge but please book this is advance.
Early Check In
We offer all our guests the opportunity to check in from 2.30pm. Please request option on booking or email us directly. Ideally we ask these are booked 7 days in advance but we will always do our best to accommodate and there is a small additional charge.
Towels & Toiletries
We provide bath sheets, a hand towel and a shower mat and are more than happy to provide additional towels on request. In a quest to be environmentally friendly we opted to provide shampoo, conditioner, soap and hand & body cream in dispensers, so you can help yourself to what you need. Here at Haddock hideaway we are very excited to now provide 'Who Gives A Crap' toilet roll. I was sceptical at first but am now a convert as its soft, strong and twice as long, whilst being; good for the world, good for people and good for your bum.
Heating & Lighting
The radiators all have thermostatic valves that you can control, in addition there is a master thermostat in the hall so if you like it a little warmer feel free to turn the thermostat up. We have fitted a range of wall lights and lamps which can be illuminated in many combinations to suit you but as Haddock hideaway is a Grade II listed building it means there are many switches – happy hunting!
Catering Facilities
There are no cooking amenities but we provide Tea & Coffee making facilities with full size fridge, and limited cutlery & crockery.
Checking Out
Our check out time is 10am. We ask you to leave promptly so we can maintain our high standards for all our guests.
Late Check Out
If you fancy extending your stay why not check out a little later. Book a late checkout in advance for a small charge and extend your holiday till midday.

We want you to make yourself at home, have a wonderful time and get the chance to relax. It’s often the small things that make a difference so if there is anything you need do let us know in advance or when you are with us.
