We're Good To Go

Covid Secure - How We'll Keep You Safe

The most important thing to us is you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, so whilst we have always strived to maintain high standards of care and cleanliness we have put in place additional measures as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. These measures have been put in place for everyone’s safety and we ask you adhere to them before, during and after your visit.  These go above and beyond the Visit England national standards so you can be reassured ‘We’re Good To Go’

What You Need To Know Before Arrival

  • The beds will be made up ready for you and there is plenty of self catering equipment but we will not be putting towels in the rooms as many of our guests have said they would feel safer using their own. However, if you need towels please let us know in advance.

  • Each apartment/room has their own entrance to limit contact between guests and we have created a contactless check in for your safety. Therefore, please contact us to pay balance before arrival. Please note we ask that only one household stays in each apartment.

  • Pubs and restaurants are opening but places are limited so it’s better to pre-book. Prepare to self-cater or use takeaway services on offer. The George is our closest pub - you can even get a takeaway pint!

  • There is a supplies section on our website if you are interested in purchasing local food produce, alternatively all major supermarket will deliver to the door.  The address is The Old Coach House, S33 8WX.

  • It might be worth packing a facemask as facemasks now need to be worn in all indoor communal areas. Also, we’ve taken out the majority of books and games for your safety so you may want to pack a few. Also, please download the NHS Corona Virus App if possible.

  • Hopefully you are able to travel but if your home area has guidance that advises against travel we kindly ask that you do not visit the area at this time. Also, anybody exhibiting symptoms or who has any reason to believe they may have come into contact with the virus up to 14 days prior to their booking must follow the Government instruction to self-isolate and follow NHS guidelines.  Therefore, they should not arrive on site. If you are unsure check out the latest government advice

Check In

  • The easiest way for us to social distance is for us to allow you to let yourself in, so combination codes will be sent to you before your check in day.  However, we live onsite so are on hand if needed. There doesn’t need to be a problem to get in touch, we are happy to just say hello or help you plan an exciting itinerary.

  • Check in is from 4pm, please don’t arrive earlier as we will be busy making sure your apartment is ready for you.  You will be allocated a parking bay and entrance.

  • On arrival please make use of the hand sanitiser and use the NHS QR code to check in.

While You Are Here

  • Once you arrive, the apartment is yours and you will not be disturbed. Our policy is that we will not enter the accommodation unless there is an emergency.

  • We ask that you do not invite any guests into the accommodation.

  • To protect yourself, staff and all our guests we ask you follow social distancing guidelines both whilst on the property and in the area. Where possible please maintain two metre distance and wear a facemask in all the communal areas.

  • Please follow government guidelines by regularly washing your hands. Anti bacterial soap is provided.

  • In the accommodation you will find a range of useful information but please bear in mind current restrictions may affect some of our services. Returning guests will notice that several items have been removed from the apartments as we are following guidelines for your safety. However, some things have also been added -cleaning & sanitising equipment is provided should you need it.

  • If any members of your party shows any symptoms of Covid-19 during your stay please tell us immediately and vacate the accommodation to self-isolate at home. In the unlikely event that it is impossible for you to leave, you will be liable for the additional costs.

  • We ask that you take particular care at the high touch points, opening out site waste bins and in the communal hallway.  The advice is to wash hands immediately after use and avoid contact with face.

Checking Out Smoothly

  • Please ensure you have left Haddock Hideaway by 10.30am as we need the extra time to clean, sanitise and air the property before the next guests.

  • Before you leave please open the windows, strip the beds and place bedding in the linen bags provided.

  • Place all waste in the outside bins located at the entrance to the car park.

  • Open all windows to ventilate the building.

  • Finally, give us a ring or text to let us know you are going.

Post Visit

  • We hope you have a safe trip home. Don’t forget, if you do show any symptoms of Covid-19 you must notify us immediately by phone or email.

Please remember we are here to help at any point so do get in touch.
